at abi's request, we celebrated Earth Day by picking up trash on one of the trails that we take when we walk to school. we have a bunch of trails through our neighborhood and abi comments on the litter frequently. andy came home early and we got gloves and bags for everyone, the stroller for easton and loaded in the van. we parked at one end of the trail - unloaded with our gear and headed down the trail in search of "all the things that didn't belong in nature." look at all the stuff i found, mom!
You guys ROCK!!! That is the cutest idea ever. Plus, I have known this for a while but know it even more now...you and Andy are the best parents ever. It's so great that your sweet kids do things like this!
I love it!! You are too good! Tyson begged and begged to go pick up litter but Shawn was out of town and I had 3 kids with homework, dinner to make and the list of excuses goes on!! :) ...good for you! by the way...you are lookin' skinny minnie!
So I was wondering...I remember back you mentioned one of your goals this year was to get up and get ready before the kids did. How is this working? This too is my dream to do one day. Way to clean up the earth! If we could all just be like you!

What a GREAT idea! You guys are so awesome. I so wish we had done something like that, but I guess it's never to late to help out!

Thanks for the note on my site. Visit anytime. We are trying to just enjoy and not be nervous.
I hope the spirit of Earth day continues on for all of our kids.
